Built with the same collection of innovative features as all Doppstadt® AK series high-speed grinders, the AK 640 grinder is a high-volume machine designed to produce hundreds of yards of finished material every day. The up-swing hammermill engineering converts more of your source stream into a very consistent, high-quality product, maximizing your revenue and profit.

Features may include:

• The hinged radiator is easily accessible and includes an automatic reversing fan.

• A reversible feed roll ensures material is consistently and evenly fed to the grinding chamber.

• The large 2.5-ton rotor with easily replaceable tips grinds the material. Extra contaminant protection is provided by the free-swinging design.

• Mesh screens from 1? – 16? can be easily replaced in 10 minutes or less, allowing for quick product sizing changes.

• Material is discharged via rear conveyor. Add an optional magnetic pulley or overband magnet to remove ferrous metals.

• Large maintenance doors provide easy access to all critical components and functions of the machine.

• The patented, load-sensing scraper floor ensures material is evenly and consistently delivered to the feed roll.

• All machine functions can be controlled by a wheel-loader operator using the optional 16-channel remote control.
