PRODUCTIVITY AND PERFORMANCE
Four operating modes allow output to be matched to operating conditions:
- Auto Mode: Automatically adjusts power to maximize performance, engine speed and hydraulic flow.
- Economy Mode: For maximum fuel economy in normal digging conditions.
- Precision Mode: For more control and accuracy for fine work and grading.
- Lifting Mode: For maximum power with controllability.
An automatic power boost provides an instant 10% increase in breakout and lifting performance.
The load sensing system maintains the power demand on the engine at a constant level for efficient running.
Flow on demand means output is proportional to lever movement for increased efficiency.
RELIABILITY AND DURABILITY
The strong and durable "X" frame undercarriage allows good ground clearance. Belly guards are fitted as standard to protect the hydraulic lines.
High quality hydraulic components from industry leading Japanese suppliers ensure reliable performance.
The unique JCB Plexus filter cleans the hydraulic oil down to 1.5 microns providing ultimate protection for the hydraulic system and allows the extended services intervals - 5,000 hours hydraulic oil change and 1,000 hours on the filter.
Large diameter swing ring is strong and reliable.
Net 271 hp turbo charged and inter-cooled Isuzu engine provides powerful performance with renowned reliability.
OPERATOR ENVIRONMENT
Modern styled cab features large front and side screens to maximize operator visibility. Both the upper and lower front screens slide easily overhead to avoid damage and provide unobstructed bucket vision.
The 6-way adjustable deluxe suspension seat helps minimize operator fatigue.
Easy to use short control levers have built-in controls for selecting low flow circuits, track speed, and low idle function.
Auto idle cuts in automatically when machine is not actively in use for greater fuel efficiency. Engine speed automatically resumes when the controls are selected again.
Enhanced air conditioning is standard for complete climate control. Vents positioned behind the operator and to the front windshield, ensure good ventilation.
The in-cab pattern change switch allows the operator to easily choose between backhoe or excavator controls and includes an indicator light to show which is aelected.
SERVICEABILITY
The unique Plexus filtration system gives hydraulic filter change intervals of 1,000 hours and hydraulic oil change intervals of 5,000 hours. 500 hour engine oil and filter changes.
1,000 hour greasing intervals on boom-base and boom to dipper pins reduced service costs.
The self diagnostic system, with the computer self check facility, provides essential information for the service engineer.
Grouped pressure points are more convenient for testing. Thoughtful layout of hydraulic components simplifies service access.
In cab engine oil level check eliminates the need to climb on the machine for daily maintenance. All checks are carried out from ground level.
